  • The Weekly Weather and Crop Bulletin provides weekly U.S. weather data and analyses (including the Palmer Drought Index and Drought Monitor), U.S. crop progress, condition, and state summaries, and international weather maps and crop summaries. The Joint Agricultural Weather Facility (JAWF), a facility jointly staffed by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and the United States Department of Commerce, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), prepares and publishes the WWCB every week. The WWCB provides weekly U.S. weather data and analyses (including the Palmer Drought Index and Drought Monitor), U.S. crop progress, condition, and state summaries, and international weather maps and crop summaries.     The National Drought Mitigation Center (NDMC), at the University of Nebraska hosts the US Drought Monitor website and coordinates the production of the US Drought Monitor in partnership with the the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Adminstration (NOAA) and the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). The USDM is a weekly map product that successfully integrates information from many parameters such as climate indices and indicators from a wide variety of sources to assess the severtiy and spatial extent drought in the United States.
